Translation Guidelines
Thanks for helping translate miraculum.ml!
A few things to keep in mind:
- Keep placeholders and tags exactly as they are. Things like %s, <br>, or <0>...</0> get replaced by the site automatically. Keep the same ones in your translation, just move them around if your language's word order needs it.
- Keep it casual and friendly. If your language has a formal and an informal way of saying "you" (like tu/vous in French or du/Sie in German), go with the informal one. We're talking to one person hanging out on the site, not addressing a boardroom.
- Match the vibe of the rest of the language. Look at how other strings in your language already sound and stay consistent with them.
- Have fun with it. You don't have to be stiff or overly literal. Adapt things to feel natural for your language and culture, as long as the meaning and tone come through.
- Not sure about something? Skip it rather than guess. A wrong translation takes longer to catch and fix later than an empty one does now.
- If an episode hasn't yet been released in your language, you don't need to translate its title.
